Philosophy Of Care
Dr. Andrew Ketner believes that an individual’s mobility and independence are substantial
contributors to overall happiness. When musculoskeletal pain or instability creates obstacles to
enjoying time with family and friends, performing the duties of your job, your hobbies, or simply
completing basic tasks, he strives to find a solution. In his opinion, simple is usually better, and
he reserves surgical treatment options as a last resort.
Background
Dr. Ketner was born and raised in southeast Michigan and maintains a strong devotion to
the community. He attended Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine
and received all of his formal training locally. As an avid mechanic and carpenter, he naturally
discovered orthopedic surgery as a way to apply his passions to helping others. Dr. Ketner
approaches medical problems in a straightforward manner with genuine concern for the
wellbeing of his patients. He thoroughly enjoys meeting new people and forming lasting
relationships. When Dr. Ketner is not seeing patients, he enjoys being on the lakes and
spending time outdoors with his family.
