Philosophy Of Care

Dr. Emily Ren is committed to connecting and listening to her patients to develop a patientcentered treatment plan. Her goal is to improve her patient’s quality of life by optimizing function and mobility through innovative surgical techniques and patient education. Dr. Ren believes the most rewarding part of being a physician is seeing her patients return to the activities that they like to do after surgery.

Dr. Ren was raised in the metro Detroit area and maintains a strong devotion to the community she loves to serve. She attended Wayne State University School of Medicine and received her Orthopaedic Trauma fellowship at Detroit Medical Center. Dr. Ren served as the physician champion for MARCQI (Michigan Arthroplasty Registry Collaborative Quality Initiative) at St. Mary Mercy Hospital from 2016-2019. MARCQI is a group of orthopedic surgeons and medical professionals dedicated to improving the quality of care for patients undergoing hip and knee replacement procedures in Michigan. Southeast Michigan’s medical professionals voted her as Hour Detroit Magazine’s 2018 Top Docs in Orthopedics and Sports Medicine. When Dr. Ren is not seeing patients, she enjoys cycling, exercising, and other outdoor activities with her husband and a very energetic lab retriever.
