About the Provider:
PHILOSOPHY OF CARE:
Dr. Kyle Carlson’s main focus of orthopedic care is to get his patients back to the activities that they enjoy and are necessary for everyday living. He approaches patient care with a conservative treatment plan and reserves surgery for when all other options have been exhausted. He feels it is incredibly satisfying to provide care to his patients and guide them to a successful recovery from their injury, joint pain, or trauma.
A native of Indiana, Dr. Carlson grew up in the Midwest. His medical training brought him to Detroit, where he completed his orthopedic surgery internship and residency training at Michigan State University – McLaren Oakland in Pontiac, Michigan. Dr. Carlson has lived in Detroit for the past seven years and has grown to love the city, the food, the sports, and Detroit’s people. When he’s not seeing patients, Dr. Carlson loves spending time with his wife and one-year-old son. He also enjoys spending time on local lakes, woodworking, and trail running.
