Philosophy of Care
Dr. Lauren Marchese’s goal is to help her patients achieve optimal health by both treating diseases as well as working with the patient to prevent them. She strives to provide up-to-date, high-quality, compassionate care for her patients and their entire family that will enhance the patient’s overall health and well-being. Dr. Marchese believes that creating deep, long-lasting relationships with her patients is key to improving their health and hopes to provide a pleasant experience for every patient that she serves.
Background
Dr. Lauren Marchese grew up in Huntington Woods, MI and is a life-long Michigander. Her love for sciences and her own inspiring Pediatrician, Dr. Gennaro DiMaso, fueled her initial passion for medicine. Dr. Marchese attended Marian Catholic High School in Bloomfield Hills where she fell in love with Anatomy and Physiology classes. She graduated from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor with a Bachelor’s Degree in Biopsychology and Minor in Italian. She then enrolled at Wayne State University, where Dr. Marchese received a Master’s Degree in Medical Sciences which led to her admission to Michigan State University College of Human Medicine for medical school. Her residency training took place at McLaren Hospital in Flint where Dr. Marchese had the opportunity to treat numerous illnesses and manage various co-morbidities. She states that it was an excellent place to train and further increased her passion for medicine. Dr. Marchese was also one of the first residents in her program to volunteer to work the COVID-19 unit at McLaren Flint at the height of the pandemic. In her free time Dr. Marchese enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling, baking, and gardening. Dr. Lauren Marchese has an identical twin sister, Dr. Adriane Marchese, with whom she will be practicing at the DMC.
