About the Provider

Philosophy of Care

Dr. Mallory O’Niel understands that it is a privilege to have the opportunity to assist in the care of children and their families. She loves helping children overcome illness so they can grow and achieve their potential. Dr. O’Niel performs procedures, such as ear tubes and tonsillectomies, which make a significant impact on a family’s quality of life. Additionally, she performs more complex head and neck surgeries, including hearing restoration with cochlear implantation, airway
surgeries, craniofacial surgeries (cleft lip and palate), congenital malformations, and neck masses. She believes every child and family deserves an individualized and thorough approach to determine the best treatment plan for their specific situation.

Background

Dr. O’Niel grew up in the Metro-Detroit area, leaving for undergraduate studies in Chicago at Northwestern University and then to Milwaukee for medical school and residency. She was attracted to Otolaryngology by the opportunity to be an expert in the head and neck, helping manage problems critical to everyone’s well-being such as breathing and hearing. During residency, she discovered a passion for pediatric otolaryngology. She completed a fellowship in Minneapolis at the Children’s Hospital and Clinics of Minnesota/University of Minnesota, where she received training in advanced pediatric otolaryngology procedures such as airway reconstruction, craniofacial surgery, voice disorders, head and neck surgery, as well as, cochlear implants. In her spare time, Dr. O’Niel loves spending time outdoors and on the water with her family and friends.
