Philosophy of Care

Megan Doulette is focused on patient-centered care providing up-to-date information on diagnoses and treatment options. She believes working with patients closely throughout the process of their care to create the most appropriate and viable plan for each patient. She promotes a team approach to patient care and making the patient a part of their treatment plan.

Megan earned her Physician Assistant Degree at the University of Dayton in Ohio where she had the opportunity to complete multiple clinical rotations in various specialties including pediatrics, women’s health, family practice, internal medicine, mental health, emergency medicine, surgery, and orthopedics. During her orthopedic rotation through the Premier Health System, she assessed osteoarthritis, fracture/trauma, and ligamentous injury patients and created a differential diagnosis and recommended appropriate diagnostic studies including x-ray, MRI, and fluid aspiration and analysis. Megan also assisted in steroid injections, cast placements, orthopedic surgical procedures, and wound closures. She found herself enjoying the balance of clinic and procedures with continuity of care. Megan was raised in Metro-Detroit and always planned to return to her home- town to pursue her medical career. Before joining DMC Medical Group, Megan was a Patient Care Assistant at St. Mary Mercy Hospital in Livonia Michigan. While at St. Mary Mercy Hospital, she assisted in multiple procedures including neurosurgical procedures, general surgery, plastic surgery, gynecological surgery, and orthopedic surgery. In her spare time, she enjoys spending it with family and friends and playing with her pug Norton.
