Dr. Sun Kim understands that vascular disease can irreversibly change the lives of patients and their friends and family. Therefore, treating patients and providing them with solutions that allow them to continue with a productive or comfortable life is incredibly rewarding. Not only does he get to form lasting relationships with his patients, but he also gets the privilege of helping them navigate their disease process. In addition, he also takes comfort that he can offer multiple treatment options, from medical management to open or endovascular surgical treatment.

Dr. Kim was born and raised in Michigan. It was always his goal to not only become a vascular surgeon but also to use his acquired knowledge and skills to care for those that are underserved. He attended Ross University School of Medicine and completed his General Surgery Residency at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center in Johnstown, Pennsylvania. Dr. Kim then completed a Vascular Surgery Fellowship locally at Wayne State University School of Medicine/Detroit Medical Center. When Dr. Kim is not treating patients, he enjoys traveling with his wife, playing with his dogs, and working on automobiles with his brother and father.
